The inter-generational event is planned to affirm our multicultural and diverse communities, to stand together as Australians who have come from many lands,
with the shared desire to live in peace and security. We want Australia to remain a welcoming place for all, and especially for those who come here to find safety.
Fear and division must not be allowed to tear at the rich fabric of our multicultural society. Consider coming along to support this event.
This event takes place on Palm Sunday in the long tradition of calling for social justice. The Planning Committee is convened by the Refugee Advocacy Network,
working with a wide range of community organisations, unions and ecumenical faith-based networks, including the VCC, bringing together people to support justice
and to stand with refugees. |
