Dear sisters and brothers.
At the Synod of the LCA, the future of ordination for women and men will be decided.
Please support the people, some of whom have been fighting for this for decades, with your prayers. And if you have time during the synod week, then go and pray with them and for them on site.
Here is the information:
“Dear prayerful friends, prayer changes everything. I ask you to come and assemble for a prayer vigil and fervently pray and show your loving support of the implementation of the Ordination of Women at the LCANZ Synod in Melbourne. You can turn up any time between 7.30am and 6pm on Friday 10 and Saturday 11 February and meet for prayer vigil outside the main entrance of the Convention and Exhibition Centre (on Clarendon Street) while Synod sessions will be ongoing inside. VIC Police and Melbourne City Council have been notified of this event. Bring something for yourself to sit on and your Bible (and some food and drink so you can last a while!) and pray without ceasing, join in the prayers of others, and quietly sit to show your peaceful support. Please invite your prayerful Melbourne friends to join too.” |
